The Manager, Accounting (CIP & Grants) is responsible for managing the grant, Passenger Facility Charge (PFC), and construction payment processes for Nashville International Airport (BNA), John C. Tune(JWN) and MNAA Properties Corporation (MPC) including monitoring compliance with all required Federal Program mandates, and overseeing the accounting for and proper documentation of these processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages all aspects of grants and reimbursements for all grant (Federal, State, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), etc.) for BNA and JWN. Ensures reimbursements are applied for and received in a timely manner and are directed to proper bank accounts.
  • Manages the monthly and quarterly report of Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) and grants to internal and external users to be in compliance with federal requirements.
  • Prepares cash flow activity forecast for various non-bond funding sources including Airline Facility Funds, Authority Facility Funds, etc.
  • Provides leadership and works with staff to create a high performance, service-oriented work environment that supports the Nashville airport experience.
  • Develops, coaches, mentors and oversees professional development opportunities for staff’s continuous education and growth.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Authority’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching/mentoring staff, planning and directing work, appraising performance, termination recommendations and resolving problems.
  • Prepares cash flow activity forecast for various non-bond funding sources including Airline Facility Funds, Authority Facility Funds, etc.
  • Coordinates and completes work-papers for the Airport Authority’s annual PFC audit and the annual single audit.
  • Supervises the construction payment process performed by the Accountants.
  • Coordinates and completes all final grant accounting packages and close-out documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of audit, general ledger, or related experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 to 7 years of project accounting, grant management or related experience.
