The Commercial Development Specialist is responsible for supporting various functions within the Commercial Development Department. This could include supporting concession functions, real estate affairs functions, and ground transportation functions.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with internal departments and business partners to provide resolutions to day-to-day tenant or airport user issues.
  • Conducts facilities inspections to ensure compliance with agreement terms and conditions and established Nashville International Airport practices.
  • Identifies and monitors compliance issues as they relate to public and passenger safety.
  • Monitors and follows up for compliance on all agreements, leases, permit terms, and conditions.
  • Prepares correspondence, documentation, exhibits, and reports.
  • Maintains accurate records of agreements, including both effective and termination dates.
  • Prepares a variety of leases, amendments, permits, and other legal documents for manager review.
  • Identify, analyze and process data to interpret trends or patterns and generate summaries and reports.
  • Initiates and cultivates communication with airport tenants, other airport users, and business partners to ensure favorable workingrelationships among departmental administration, tenants, and community.
  • Responds to general requests handled by the Commercial Development Department.
  • Demonstrates a pro-active, problem-solving mindset.
  • Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintains regular on-time attendance.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Supports the Nashville International Airport’s commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, aviation, airport management, or equivalent education or experience in a related field required.
  • 1 to 3 years of lease agreements, compliance, or related experience required.
